Hey everybody, I’ve been posting some little doodles on this other tumblr while I chip away at bigger stuff!
Here’s a little madlib for you, “The Illustrator’s Lament”:
No matter how many ( cool objects, people, or scenarios ) I draw, I will still be a ( self adjective ) ( self noun ) who will never ( fanciful action ).
For instance:
No matter how many tough lady space marines I draw, I will still be a cautious nerd who will never fire an interstellar harpoon.

If you guys don’t know Brooke Allen’s work yet, this is a good introduction. I’ve been a huge fan of hers ever since I saw her rad sketches back in college. As a bonus, she is also a totally awesome and funny lady! So it’s win win for you, the viewer.

I made this for my Dad’s birthday. He asked me to do something with a dragon, and his favorite animal is the grizzly bear, so I put 2 and 2 together with my brain and made BEAR DRAGON.
